We've received some fascinating historical information from Janet Gardner Roy, a relative of former Ardentinny postmaster Matthew Gardener. Janet is researching the Gardener family history. As well as running the village store and post office, Matthew Gardener also published local Ardentinny postcards. Matthew Gardner was born on 4th. Long hut demolished

It took just one man and a large digger only a couple of hours to demolish a 70+ year-old piece of history which was the last remaining corrugated long hut at the former HMS Armadillo, Glenfinart Bay, Ardentinny. Demolition draws near…

SSE electricians were in attendance earlier today disconnecting the electrical supply to the beach hut. Security fencing is now being erected. Demolition of the building appears imminent.

All welcome!

Music Group - Every Monday 18:00-19:30hrs.
Village Hall, Ardentinny.
Neil and Mike from Rock Cottage are running a new group within the village, initially this is aimed at learning to play the Ukulele. That said we are not limiting or restricting the group to these two instruments. Anyone and everyone are welcome to come, learn, join in, or add something to those starting out playing an instrument, likewise if you’re at a loose end, then come along for a coffee and chat, worth noting we do have spare instruments knocking around, so even if you just want to try something then please pop along. Cost £2.00 per session. Teas and coffees will be available these will be on a donation basis.
