Village Hall Winter Activities

BRIDGE CLUB
Playing Bridge not only improves the memory but stimulates the immune system! Learn to play the easy way with Peter McIntosh and friends. Cost £3. Tea and biscuits provided. Telephone Peter on 810312.

BADMINTON CLUB
Tuesday 10.30am – 12.30am
Need some laughter therapy? No fitness required.. just a racquet and a sense of humour. Cost £3. Tea and biscuits provided. Call Sandra on 810263.

HOBBIES CLUB
Wednesday 7pm – 9pm.
Knit and natter with some of the best crafts folks in Cowal. Beginners welcome.. and you can come just for a blether. Cost £3. All year round club. Call Margo on 810262.

INDOOR BOWLING CLUB
Thursday 2.30pm – 4pm. October until last Thursday in March.
The indoor version of the outdoor game, played by all ages and abilities throughout the world. Meet new people and make friends. Gentle exercise to keep fit and healthy. Annual subscription. Call Gordon on 810218.

TAI CHI
Regular practice of Tai Chi lowers blood pressure, provides pain relief and is good for the mind, body and spirit. The class is taken by Bryan Shewry who has taught martial arts and meditation for 50 years. £5 weekly. Call Bryan on 810104.

PAINTING IN WATERCOLOUR WITH CATRIONA HENDERSON DARROCH.
Thursday 10.30am – 1.30pm (from October 10).
This is the second year of this highly recommended and very relaxed course. All levels welcome including beginners.

TWO DAY CERAMICS WORKSHOP WITH BILL WILLIAMSON.

Introduction to clay sculpture. Continuing on from the success of last winter when an amazing exhibition of work was presented by participants of Bill’s class. Be amazed by your own creativity!

VILLAGE HALL HIRE
The Village Hall is available for private rentals at a reasonable price. It’s a delightful venue with excellent kitchen. Accommodates up to 80. Call Merle on 810220.
