Festive lunch for Garden volunteers

Glenfinart Walled Garden would not be what it is today without the support of an amazing group of volunteers who, come rain or shine, give their time to the  garden each week. As a thank you, the Ardentinny Community Trust trustees this week took the volunteers to visit Calder’s Garden Centre, Erskine where Christmas lunch was served.  Well done everybody!

Ardentinny Bowling Club Kids Halloween Party 2019

Keeping some very excited kids, dressed in a variety of Halloween costumes, off Ardentinny Bowling Club’s immaculate green at their party last weekend kept organisers Maryjane, Linda, Nicola, Caroline and Michele on their toes. A great afternoon was had by all the kids who enjoyed dookin’ for apples and all the usual spooky games.

Now wouldn’t that beautiful grass make a cool kids football spilleautomater blood suckers norgescsino pitch during the bowls off-season? Maybe next year  😉

Ghouls on the green

It was a case of eat, drink and be scary last Saturday night at Ardentinny Bowling Club when the bowlers held their annual Halloween get together with some ghoul friends.  Ghostess with the mostest, Maryjane, Linda and their delectable demons as usual transformed the place into a creepy crypt .  With the boos flowing and the dance floor busy much of the night, it clearly was a case of if you’ve got it, haunt it.

The fun continues this Saturday at 2pm when the little devils (with Mummies in tow) have their own party at the club.

Big fangs to Maryjane and Jim Robinson for the photos.

Ardentinny road closure Sunday 27 October 2019

The road outside Angle cottage on the Ardentinny to Whistlefield road will be closed between 7am and 7pm on 27 October, 2019 to enable works to take place in relation to the Cuil Burn Hydro Renewables project. Contractor Robert Brakes informs us that the road to the beach past the village hall will remain open at all times. Diversion signage will be in place at the Loch Eck and Cot House turnings. As it is a Sunday it should not affect the 489 West Coast Motors Service as it terminates at the Village car park.
