Nursery Field to be leased for grazing

At the recent Ardentinny Community Council meeting, Forestry Commission Scotland representative, David Robertson, reported that the land, commonly known as the 'nursery field’, is to be leased for grazing and that stock fencing will soon be erected around it.

The roof of the recently renovated residence of Ardentinny Hotel was set alight tonight by what appeared to be a lightning strike, creating a huge plume of smoke over Loch Long. Coulport Blasts: Residents demand public meeting with MoD

At a lively Community Council meeting on Tuesday, Ardentinny residents demanded that MoD representatives attend a public meeting in the village within the next four weeks. Coulport blasts: Argyll MP Alan Reid writes to Defence Secretary

Ardentinny.org has today received an email from Argyll MP Alan Reid regarding the Coulport blasts. Mr. Reid has stated that "The MoD are supposed to inform the public of exercises in advance”. He has written to the Defence Secretary and will let us know his response.

Music Group - Every Monday 18:00-19:30hrs.
Village Hall, Ardentinny.
Neil and Mike from Rock Cottage are running a new group within the village, initially this is aimed at learning to play the Ukulele. That said we are not limiting or restricting the group to these two instruments. Anyone and everyone are welcome to come, learn, join in, or add something to those starting out playing an instrument, likewise if you’re at a loose end, then come along for a coffee and chat, worth noting we do have spare instruments knocking around, so even if you just want to try something then please pop along. Cost £2.00 per session. Teas and coffees will be available these will be on a donation basis.
