Once again the sun shone on the righteous as the ladies from Gourock Park, Abercorn (Paisley), Lesmahagow, Colintraive, Lochgoilhead, Bogleha', Dunoon Argyll, Kirn & Hunters Quay and of course Ardentinny competed in Ardentinny Bowling Clubs' Ladies invitation day.
On a full green of 8 rinks the ladies competed throughout the day for the Hamilton Cup with the following teams progressing to the final:
J.Lennox (Lesmahagow) skip, A.Alexander (Abercorn), M.Walsh (Bogleha').
I Hamilton (Ardentinny ) skip, J.Campbell ( Bogleha'), J.Howell (Lochgoilhead).
Of which the former came out on top.
The photographs show Tom and Ina Hamilton with the Winning triple, some of the Bowlers and two local worthies Tom Pearson and Walter Muir enjoying the day.
The committee would like to thank all the participating bowlers, everyone who gave of their time and worked so hard to make the day such a success. Best excuse on the day for a bad bowl by a lady who shall remain nameless was I'm claustrophobic due to the tight rinks.
